Here are my Top 5 Summer reads (even though it's Winter but hey, a woman can dream) hope you enjoy x

1. All About the Hype by Paige Toon

This book is all about a girl who has previously found out her dad is a global superstar! But all the paparazzi and fame driven celebrities make it hard for her to cope, it's a book filled with twists and turns (and of course boy drama). I would recommend this book to a teen/young adult as it is about the life of a teen. I found myself reading it again and again because it made me feel like anything was possible and even though I had read it numerous times I still wanted to know what was next.

2. Night Owls by Jenn Bennet

Ok, it's set in Summer, but not really Summer-y. I still love it though. The love, the passion, the drama. Again I wouldn't advise it for children as it gets a bit, well, hot. All in all its a great read and I would truly recommend buying. It's about a girl called Bex meeting a boy Jack on San Francisco's night bus and suddenly her world is truly turned upside down. Is Jack who he says he is or is he a mysterious criminal?

3. The Potion Diaries by Amy Alward

So this one is more of a fantasy. Set in the Kingdom of Nova. Samantha Kemi is from a long line of respected alchemists but more recently they haven't been so popular, ZoroAster megapharma company has washed away the Kemi's reputation. When a nationwide hunt is called to save the Princess of Nova is this the Kemi's chance, or will this kill them off entirely? I would truly recommend this for any ages as it is a thrilling read.

4. The Piper by Danny Weston

So this is more of a horror/thriller and I would only recommend if you are above 13. It is amazing however and I loved reading it. I met the author to so I have a signed copy. He came to our school and told us about the inspiration he got from France. A curse written on the wall beside a huge wall of skulls. Creepy. Set in World War Two, Peter and Daisy thought they were just going away for a while to an ordinary townhouse, little did they know that they were a piece of a master plan that was sure to get Daisy killed. How will Peter save her in time?

5. Geek Girl by Holly Smale

On a lighter note, I found this book through my best friend. She said, 'This book is perfect for you, it's all about being confident in something new that is completely out of your comfort zone', when I heard what the book was called though I thought my best friend was calling me a geek but after reading the blurb I went straight to the cash desk and bought it, I didn't even look at the price (if you are thinking it is and expensive book it isn't I was just showing how I really wanted to read it). It's about a girl who has a chance to reinvent herself and because she is bullied for being a geek she decides to take it. But will it be that easy to go from Geek, to Chic?

(I got all these books for £6.99 except for Night Owls which I got for £7.99, I do not know if they are still those prices)

I hope you will enjoy these books as I did. What book shall I read and review next? Put your answer in the comments x
